Various massage techniques that can be used throughout a session would be:

Trigger Point Therapy

Myofascial trigger points are an extremely common cause of pain. Trigger points are painful when pressed on, cause a shortening of the muscle fibers, and have a special property called referred pain.  However, we now know that the referred phenomenon can be felt in many ways including sensations like; tingling, numbness, dull, aching or shooting pain. Referred sensation means that a trigger point in one muscle can create a sensation or pain into another sometimes-distant area.

Sustained deep compression is used to release a trigger point.

Swedish

A gentler style using long, sweeping and circular strokes combined with kneading, all aimed to increase relaxation and decrease tension in the body.

Deep Tissue

A technique that is aimed to go deep within the inner layers of muscle and connective tissues. Treating musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

A light repetitive technique that stretches the skin to increase the uptake transport of macromolecules from the tissue, making way for better nutrient intake. Typically used for post-surgical procedures, edema reduction, inflammatory conditions and orthopedic injuries.

Medical Massage

Various techniques used for an outcome-based massage. It is commonly used to address different health issues. Can also be done pre or post op surgeries to manage pain, decrease inflammation and swelling, boost circulation, alleviate nerve compression, improve range of motion and reduce scar tissue and adhesions from forming.

Pre-Natal

Prenatal massage therapy can address many common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormonal shifts. Relieve muscle and joint pains; help reduce anxiety and symptoms of depression. Study after study has proved that calmness in the mother leads to healthier in-utero development.

This modality requires you in a side lying position, with lots of comfy pillows to keep you well positioned and elevated throughout your session.

Aromatherapy

The use of essential oils to improve your physical and mental well-being. When inhaled, the scent molecules in essential oils travel from the olfactory nerves directly to the brain and especially impact the amygdala, the emotional center of the brain.

Essential oils are concentrated compounds extracted from aromatic plants to capture that plants scent, flavor, and natural benefits. the purest distillation of natures living energy.

"Muscle is an orphan organ. No medical specialty claims it. As a consequence, no medical specialty is concerned with promoting funded research into the muscular causes of pain, and medical students and physical therapists rarely receive adequate primary training in how to recognize and treat myofascial trigger points."— David G. Simons, MD pioneer in myofascial pain and trigger points and aerospace physician
